Who is Hermano Puli ?

- Apolinario de la Cruz (22 july 1814 - 4 November 1841), known as Hermano Pule or Puli ("Brother Pule"), led a major revolt against the Spanish rule of the Philippines based on a struggle for religious freedom and indepedence.

Both of his parents were peasants and religious Catholics. In 1829, he decided to become a priest and tired to join the Order of Preachers in Manila. During those times, Roman Catholic religious orders barred indios fromjoining thus de la Cruz's application was rejected for the sole reason of his race.

 

Based on my understanding on what the speaker said some people confuse if they want to help people because some people will hate them or call them bida bida or nagmamagaling so they decide not to help or be a hero because of the people insult them.

If you want to be a hero please be a hero with a big heart not to be a hero because of the popularity. 

There is many types to be a hero for example you can be a hero by helping with other people whether a simple or a difficult.
