MY JOURNEY

MALAYSIA TRAVEL BLOG 2017-2018 

 My mother and my twin sister went to Malaysia last December 28, 2017 to celebrate "New Year's Eve" together with my oldest sister who work in Malaysia since she graduated in College (Year 2014-2015). We stayed for 6 days there to explore and see the famous attractions that my heart felt so have that country and want to go back when I finish my studies here in the Philippines. I just want to share my experience in this country so that, people will inspire and want to visit Malaysia.

Malaysia, is part of Asians, is one hour travel time from Philippines, I thought that there's was 1 hour gap in the clock but like the steward told us that there is no different time in Philippines and Malaysia.  

Our first destination was in Petronas Twin Tower or also known at Twin tower, one of the most famous attraction in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The towers are two tall skyscrapers that was the tallest buildings in the world until 2004. We decided not go to the building but instead, we wen to the side of the tower where we can took a picture of the whole tower. When we went to Twin towers, there are a lot of tourist who visited the attraction. As far as I remembered, Inside the towers, there have a lot of malls and restaurant where tourists or locals can eat. Before I knew that we were going to Malaysia, one of the attraction I want to see was the Petronas Twin Tower. My oldest sister who work here gave us the "statue" of this towers or the small size of Petronas Twin Tower. When I saw this towers, I want to cry and thank God because I can not believe that in my age, 19, I will be exploring the other country that I like to visit when I was child.

After we went to Petronas Twin Tower, our next destination was in Kuala Lumpur City Gallery where you can see the giant I LOVE KL. We went there in the afternoon so, it's very hot because of the weather in Malaysia. This is one of the famous attraction in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. 

I don't have the pictures inside the gallery but when you go inside, you will be amazed and we saw different artworks, paintings, and the whole Malaysia and there was a show where you can see the whole Malaysia and there was a video that tackle the history of Malaysia. I liked how they improve the country.  I stayed of an hour taking pictures and bought some souvenirs and ate durian ice cream, that I don't like the taste. 

After we went to the Gallery in Kuala Lumpur, our next destination was in the Batu Caves. I really love Batu Caves because of the monkeys and the birds surrounded by the caves. Batu caves is where the tourist climb the 300+ steps while watching different statues and Buddha. 

When you are in Batu Caves, you will see first the big Buddha that was very famous in Batu caves. When we reached to the next caves, there was a Chapel where the Malaysian prayed. I was shook when I saw them lying on the floor and amazed because they used it everyday. I like the whole caves, I can't explain/express how beautiful Batu Caves was.

I didn't included our tour in Singapore because I will create a new blog for it. The whole tour was very delight on our tour in Malaysia. I hope after my graduation, I will be back to Malaysia to explore and experience again what I have been experience when I'm in Malaysia.

My precious Professor

" A PROFESSOR IS SOMEONE WHO TALKS IN SOMEONE ELSE'S SLEEP"

I'm a transferee  in our school and I don't know what to do because I feel shy and nervous because what if our professor is strict ? I'm very nervous that time I try to chill my mind but nothings woerk. I don't want to talk because some of my classmate speak english and my english skill is not enough to talk to them. After 30 minutes someone entering the room I get nervous she's a girl I think she's 30 or 35 years old she entering the room with smiling faces big smile I don't know why I think she did that so the student didn't get nervous with her. She introduce her self and her name is Joey Minglana and she's so pretty and jolly and her smile makes me smile too.

Professor or full professor is the highest academic rank at universities and other post-secondary education and research intitutions in most countries. Literally, professor derives from latin as a "person who professes" being usually an expert in arts or sciences, a teacher of the highest rank. In som countries, the word professor is also used in titles of lower ranks such as associate professor and assistant professor.

My nervous change to exciting. She is my professor in two subjects Gramcom and Pubspe 1 in our
 gramcom she always make us happy and laugh I'm feel so excited to be her student every meeting but not her lesson hahaha Miss Minglana are so kind, joker, not really strict she always advice us in our future internship. When time of Gramcom she give spelling every week 15 spelling I get nervous because my vocabulary is not too deep and most of our spelling is difficult. I know that I got R in my grades but when I saw my grades ni Gramcom it's 1/uno yes this is the low grade but I passed she said that " I see your hardwork so I passed you" she didn't said that in detailed but I think her message is that. Next in our public speaking class she is also my professor I hate speaking in public especially speaking in English I tried my best but my is not good enough so I got R or repeat in midterm. I know I get R in my grades because I don't have answer in our midterm exam.


She's my favorite professor because she do her work good and she give her best to make us happy I think every week we have games and I really have that she not strict but I learned a lot to her she never felt us nervous and felt sad in her lesson. If I choose professor I choose her again and again I love Miss Minglana so much I Love YOU miss I hope that be yourself and don't change be an inspiration to others and make them happy and not fell bad Thank you for everything miss sorry for my grammar and my wrong sentences I try my best to learned english Thank you!

Me myself and I

Before I answer t the question: How can you reinvent yourslef? I just want to introduce myself first Hi my name is Mary Joy Mateo but just call me joy if you like and I'm 17 years old and my personality is to make people happy and make them feel that they being love with others. 

Who is Joy? Joy is a loving and caring person, They love being with people and they love being with Joy and that's me I don't want to see people crying or lonely. I have many friends and every weekends we love to eat outside and bond but when time passes by when orur school and different, we don't see each other because of our studies.

This picture taken on Sept. 5 2015 my birthday. They surprised me but I didn't surprised hahaha but I'm very thankful for them and I hope that no one change and what we are before I hope that it didn't change. So if I choose or change my friend my answer is I will never change my friends and choose other friend.

How can I reinvent myself?

We didn't change if there is no big problems come.

 

In the past, Every school year I joined organization in our school and not focus my studies but focus on what I want and want I like. Yes there subject that I very love like math, science and p.e but not English,Filipino and values. I decide to focus want I like and do my best to be number one but my other subject that I don't want is failing so I want change my mindset and be careful of want. 

To make improvements in my life is my time management because I have class and I have organization because I feel bored if I study study study and don't join organization so I want to improve my time management so that I can manage my time in my studies and my organization. 

Now I joined organization in my school and I really love that org. because I feel that I have another family which is them. I want to improve my studies and my skills.

How Technology work for you? 

- For me it's work a lot and it helps me to my studies like google, Facebook, you tube etc. and ot helps to communicate to my relatives etc..

I have always been a firm believer technology is here to serve us as we are not here to serve technology... It is truly awesome when technology is properly deployed in this manner.

My favorite apps and social media networking site is FACEBOOK AND YOU TUBE

What is Facebook?

- Facebook is a popular free Socail Networking website that allows registered users to create profiles, upload photos and video, send messages and keep in touch with friends, family and colleagues. The site, which is available in 37 different languages.

In May 2007, Facebook opened up it's developer's platform to allow third-party developers to build applications and widgets that, once approved, could be distributed through the Facebook community. May 2008, Facebook engineers announced Facebook Connect, a cross-site initiative that allows users to publish interactions on third-party partner sites in their Facebook news feed.

Why Facebook? 

One of my favorite application is Facebook because it helps me to communicate with my love once and to have more friends. I also want to post many pictures and videos if I like, comment with my friends picture. etc and second is YOU TUBE.

What is YouTube?
- YouTube is a video sharing service that allows users to watch videos posted by other users and upload videos of their own/ The service was started as an independent website in 2005 and was acquired by Google in 2006. Videos that have been uploaded to YouTube may appear on the youTube website and can also be posted on other websites, though the files are hosted on the YouTube server.

Why YouTube?

- First because when I'm bored I try to watch on You Tube the funny videos and movies YouTube helps me a lot like when I have assignment in my studies I go to google and youtube to search it.

- I'm a kpop fan and my idols are so far so I watch them in youtube everyday so that I can see their updates about their life. I search a lot in YouTube watch a lot of movies and funny vidoes, learn about something.

Plagiarism

What is Plagiarism? 
- Many people think of plagiarism as copying another's work or borrowing someone else's original ideas. But terms like "copying" and "borrowing" can disguise the seriousness of the offense:
- Plagiarism is not in itself acrime, but can constitute copyright infringement. In academia and industry, it is a serious ethical offense.Plagiarism and copyright infringement overlap to a considerable extent, but they are not equivalent concepts, and many types of plagiarism do not constitute copyright, which is defined by copyright law and may be adjudicated by courts. -Google (Wikipedia)

I search a lot about plagiarism and there's so many meaning such as:

Plagiarism is a crime

Plagiarism is using someone else's ideas without citing them,

Plagiarism is using one piece of work from one course for another course without instructor permission. 

Using direct quotes without quotation marks.

Misrepresenting the author's ideas or main points.etc.

For me what is Plagiarism? 

- Plagiarism is someone who stealing idea's of someone without giving them credits.Many people doing this and to be honest I'm one of this but sometimes I put credits to someone who write those idea's but not all.

- Using an image, video or piece of music in a work you have produced without receiving proper permission or providing appropriate citation is plagiarism.

Manix Abrera

Seems like "all systems go" na 'diba? Super compatible. Gusto n'yo ang isa't isa. Pero yan ang mga nakakatakot. Yung akala mo okay lahat, sabay pag sinabi mong mahal mo siya. *blam!* Guguhan lahat.

- Manuel Luis Lorenzo Abrera, popularly known as Manix Abrera born on 8 February 1982 is a Filipino komiks, artist,author and musician.  He is the best known as the author of the daily comic strip Kiko Machine, which appears on the Philippine Daily Inquirer. He is the son of long time komiks artist Jess Abrera, who also works for the Inquirer. He is a nominee for the 2011 WikiPinoy of the Year of WikiPilipinas. -Google (Wikipedia)

- I really don't know Manix Abrera because I not a fan of comics and I not a fan of books I don't know what to right in my blog so I try to research who is Manix Abrera as an artist. I found out that Abrera graduated in 2003 with degree in fine Arts, major in visual communication in the University of the Philippines, Diliman (UPD). He is currently taking his master's degree in fine arts in the same university. 

There's a lot of work that Abrera do but before that let's know more about Abrera. Based on my research he started as a komiks artist and writer with the Philippine Collegian, where he served as graphics editor from 2001 to 2003. Kiko Machine was then complied into seven book compilations, the first of which ("Mga Tagpong Mukhang Ewan at Kung Anu-ano Pang Kababalaghan!") was released in 2005 whil the Sorrowful Sorrowful Mysteries was released in October 2011.

I saw in Wikipedia that every year He released komiks book and the title of his komiks are:

When I try to read his komiks I really admire Manix Abrera and I hope that someday I will be a fan of komiks and be a one of them who wrote comics. Thankyou!

Vegetarism

What is vegetarian?

- People who generally exclude meat, fish and chicken from their diet and eat a variety of plant-based foods are vegetarians. Most vegetarian diets are rich in fiber and low in fat, especially the unhealthy saturated kind. It can help lower cholesterol, blood pressure, aiding in the prevention of heart disease. (Google)

Based on my research there are 3 kinds of vegetarians:

There are 3 kinds of vegetarians:

Total vegetarian - Those who exclude all kinds of meat and animal-based products as milk, butter and eggs.

Lacto vegetarian - Those who do not consume meat, chicken and fish but allow milk andmilk products.

Lacto-ovo-vegetarians : Those who consume milk, milk products and eggs but exclude allkinds of meat.

I'm not a vegetarian person but I really admire who want to be healthy and have a good body. I'm a slim person and not a vegetarian. I want to be fat like others don't like, I think they don't want to be fat because of the people who insult them in their body.

Pros and con vegetarian:

Pro: Better weight color

- Some people pro in vegetarian because of the weight control, people who follow vegetarian-style eating healthy foods and it can result to lower-calorie, more filling foods, such as vegetables, fruits and beans. Obesity is a risk factor cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure and some types of cancer.

- I think if I choose if pros or con I choose pros in vegetarian because it's more heahlty and less sickness.I'm not a vegetarian but soon I want to try.
